Welcome to Westbourne Community Trust

We are delighted to be settling in our new tenants to their new homes.

We are a non-profit organisation run by volunteers to provide affordable housing and community facilities for the benefit of local people.

During the 7 years since we were formed, our main focus has been to build 12 new affordable homes on land to the rear of Mill Road, Westbourne and make them available at social rents to local people.  Those houses are now nearing completion.  In addition to building these houses we have upgraded the Mill Road park with new play equipment, built a storage building for use by the Parish Council and the Allotment Association and also provided some new off-street parking for the existing residents of Mill Road.

In the last few weeks, we have appointed PHA Homes to act on our behalf as the managing agent for the new houses.  We have now offered new tenancies for all of these new houses.  The demand was significant with 35 valid applications from local people and we had to make some difficult decisions. The choice of tenants was based on the Trust’s Allocations Policy which includes a points-based system to prioritise those with the greatest needs.

For those who want to get a better idea of what these new homes look like you can see the details in the links below.  There are 3 house types illustrated, a one bed-house,  a two-bed house and a three-bed house. There will be some small differences from house to house depending on aspect and detailed design.
